About Us


‘Keep Smiling Sing and Dance’ was founded by two life long  friends, Nikki and Kirsty, who have a passion for teaching and helping others enjoy Singing, Dancing and Performing!
‘In a competitive industry we work mostly on reputation. We believe we are right for the job because we believe in what we do and always strive to improve on that. We can guarantee we always give 100% to every group and session’
*We ARE public Liability Insured, Professional Indemnity Insured, Enhanced CRB/DBS checked and experienced with all ages and abilities.
*We are NOT part of  franchise and take ‘Keep Smiling’ to the areas we feel we can offer the most to.
*Our Classes are small, ensuring each child is given the attention they need to succeed and gain in confidence.

After learning her skills in singing and performance through ABRSM exams in singing and piano,  A level Performing arts ,  and a spell at Hertfordshire Centre for the Arts (studying Music, Dance and Drama) , Kirsty went on to teach Singing and Performance skills to younger children. A Mummy of one, Kirsty has over 10 years Singing teaching experience, has been entertaining for 12 years performing locally at children’s parties and in local venues hosting Karaoke evenings and Singing herself.

 Having worked with a wide range of children aged from 1- 18 years, Kirsty also has a wealth of  experience working with Children and adults with Learning Disabilities. Over the last 8 years she worked firstly as a sole carer then teaching assistant, and has run After School activities in both mainstream and Special Needs Schools. She is extremely passionate about reaching out to groups who can struggle to access some activities believing  that ‘Keep Smiling Sing and Dance’ should be an ‘inclusive and fun company for everyone, using Singing and Dance to gain confidence and express themselves’ . She has bags of energy and enthusiasm, dreaming big and aiming to deliver on every project!


NIKKI ATKINSnikki profile

 Nikki was introduced the world of Dancing and the age of 8! She began training in Freestyle Disco and then went on to learn Rock and Roll, Latin American and Street Dance. She took part in competitions and performances around the UK, has a cabinet full of trophies and has completed many I.D.T.A Exams. During her working life, Nikki has also run lunchtime dance tuition from a local school where she gained a real passion for teaching and a great ear for rhythm. Nikki believes performing plays an important part in children’s lives and development, teaching them a fun way to keep fit and active make lots of new friends! She makes routines easy to learn and loves taking children to performance levels in their ‘Mini Showcase’ for friends and families. 
Also, she has gained a great deal of experience recently working with children and adults with Learning Disabilities bringing some great ‘out of the box’ ideas for sensory sessions. Back in the Dance Studio again, Nikki brings some great moves and routines and is furthering her training once again within the IDTA teaching syllabus.  Instantly likeable and approachable Nikki always has a big smile on her face. She now has 3 children of her own, who are a wealth of inspiration to her lessons and sessions and are growing up to enjoy music and dancing just like their mummy!
